1、 Instrument Overview:

Waterproof junction box type E-type thermocoupleAs a temperature sensor, it is usually used in conjunction with display instruments, recording instruments, and electronic regulators. Assembly type thermocouples can directly measure the surface temperature of liquid vapor, gas media, and solids in various production processes from 0 ℃ to 1800 ℃. According to national regulations, production of assembled thermocouples that comply with IEC standard graduation numbers, such as platinum rhodium 30-platinum rhodium 6, platinum rhodium 10-platinum, nickel chromium nickel silicon, nickel chromium constantan, etc. Assembly type thermocouples typically consist of main components such as temperature sensing elements, installation fixtures, and junction boxes.

2、 Measurement principle:

Waterproof junction box type E-type thermocoupleThe electrode is composed of two different conductor materials. When there is a temperature difference between the measurement end and the reference end, a thermoelectric potential is generated, and the working instrument displays the temperature value corresponding to the thermoelectric potential.

The thermoelectric electromotive force will increase as the temperature of the measuring end increases. The size of the thermoelectric electromotive force is only related to the material of the thermocouple conductor and the temperature difference between the two ends, and is mainly related to the length and diameter of the thermoelectric electrode. The assembled thermocouple is mainly composed of a junction box, protective tube, insulation sleeve, wiring terminal, and thermoelectric electrode assembly, and is equipped with various installation and fixing devices.

5、 Installation method:

1. Firstly, the dimensions of the thermocouple flange or threaded thread should be measured, and the flange or threaded base should be machined and matched

2. According to the size of the flange or threaded base, holes should be made on the pipeline that needs to be measured

3. Welding of flange or threaded base: Insert the flange or threaded base into the already opened hole, and weld the flange or threaded base with the measured pipeline

4. Tighten the thermocouple with bolts or thread it into the welded threaded base

5. Connect the junction box of the thermocouple according to the wiring diagram and connect it to the corresponding display instrument on the dial. Note that the junction box should not come into contact with the wall of the measured medium pipeline, ensuring that the temperature inside the junction box does not exceed the range of 100 ℃. The outlet hole of the junction box should prevent short circuits in the wiring terminals due to poor sealing, water vapor, dust, and other deposits.

6、 Installation requirements:

For the installation of thermocouples; Attention should be paid to several details in the installation and use of thermocouples; It is conducive to accurate temperature measurement, safety, reliability, and convenient maintenance, without affecting equipment operation and production operations. To meet the following requirements, when selecting the installation location and insertion depth of thermocouples, the following two points should be noted:

1. Thermocouples with protective sleeves have heat transfer and heat dissipation losses. To reduce measurement errors, thermocouples should have sufficient insertion depth.

a. When the insertion depth of the measuring element exceeds 1m, it should be installed vertically as much as possible, or a support frame and protective sleeve should be added.

b. If it is necessary to measure the temperature of the flue gas inside the flue, although the flue diameter is 1000mm, the thermocouple insertion depth is 500mm.

c. For thermocouples measuring the temperature of the fluid at the center of the pipeline, the measuring end should generally be inserted into the center of the pipeline (vertically or obliquely installed). If the diameter of the pipeline for the measured fluid is 100 millimeters, the insertion depth of the thermocouple should be selected from 50 to 100 millimeters (considering the size of the installation base or flange).

d. For temperature measurement of high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-speed fluids (such as main steam temperature), in order to reduce the resistance of the protective sleeve to the fluid and prevent the protective sleeve from breaking under the action of the fluid, the shallow insertion method of the protective sleeve or the use of hot sleeve type thermocouples can be adopted. The shallow insertion type thermocouple protective sleeve should be inserted into the main steam pipeline at a depth of not less than 75mm; The standard insertion depth for hot sleeve thermocouples is 100mm.

2. In order to ensure sufficient heat exchange between the measurement end of the thermocouple and the measured medium, a reasonable measurement point position should be selected to avoid installing thermocouples near dead corners of valves, elbows, pipelines, and equipment as much as possible.
