2、 Spraying services

1. Application of Arc Spraying Principle: Arc spraying technology uses two continuously rolled metal wires as consumable electrodes, connected to the positive and negative poles of the DC power supply. At the moment of short circuiting at the end of the metal wire, an arc is generated between two metal wires, and high heat is generated at the contact point. Under the action of the power supply, the stable combustion of the arc is maintained. The high-speed airflow sprayed from the nozzle behind the arc occurrence point atomizes the molten metal into particles, which are then sprayed onto the surface of the pre treated substrate to form a coating. When spraying, the substrate temperature is less than 150 ℃, which will not have any impact on the substrate performance. Supersonic arc spraying can bring particle velocity closer to the sound speed, resulting in higher bonding strength of the coating.

Spraying process:

1. The gun head should be perpendicular to the working surface, and when spraying water on both sides of the cold wall tube, an angle of 45 degrees should be maintained horizontally, with uniform movement up and down.

2. To prevent the occurrence of concave and convex steps, the formation of eddy currents, and local wear, as well as to ensure a good bonding between the upper and lower coatings and prevent the appearance of steps when working in the upper and lower zones, there should be a smooth transition zone of 15-20cm at the top of the coating during spraying. When spraying to the transition area each time, a gradual increase of 5-10cm is adopted for smooth transition.

3 Spraying precautions:

A A dedicated person is assigned to monitor the wire feeding tray and wire feeding situation to ensure smooth wire feeding and prevent tying of the wire material. At the same time, insulation between the two wires must be ensured to avoid short circuits.

B If unstable wire feeding, fuse breakage, and intermittent arc are found during the spraying process, the use of the conductive nozzle should be checked first, and the installation of the wire guide tube should be checked again for firmness. If it is loose, it should be tightened in a timely manner.

C Conductive nozzles that are burnt out during the spraying process should be replaced in a timely manner, and electrical nozzles with machining accuracy exceeding the standard should not be used.

D When spraying, it should be convenient for the work of the drawing. The coating that can be formed in one operation should be manually divided into upper and lower zones to increase the bonding transition zone.

IV. Standards

Visual inspection: After spraying, the coating should be evenly covered, and the surface should be visually free of pits, peeling, cracking, bulging, and peeling. The surface should be silver white. Take several points and use a thickness gauge to measure the thickness, compare them with the measured values after sandblasting, and take the average value.
