Product performance and characteristics
Hot melt welding (exothermic fusion welding) is a welding method that uses the chemical reaction of exothermic flux as the heat source to generate high temperature and achieve the purpose of welding through the investment model. It does not require external energy and is the best method for welding metal conductors. It can completely weld the same or different metals such as copper and copper, copper and steel to achieve a true combination of molecules, so that the lightning protection grounding device becomes a permanent maintenance-free device.
Advantages of exothermic flux
1. The current-carrying capacity (melting point) of the welding point is the same as that of the conductor, and it has good electrical conductivity. After testing, the rate of change of the DC resistance ratio before and after welding is close to zero. This is unmatched by any traditional connection method.
2. The welding point is a molecular combination, which is permanent and does not age.

Operating procedures |
1. Clean the conductor and the investment mold (if it is wet, it must be dried), put the conductor under the mold and make a contact test. |
2. Put the two conductors to be welded into the investment mold, corresponding to the positions. |
3. Clamp the investment mold, put down the metal spacer, seal the flow port, and prevent the molten flux before the reaction from flowing into the cavity. |
4. Pour the exothermic flux into the furnace, sprinkle some initial ignition powder on the mouth of the mold, and cover the top of the mold. |
5. Use the ignition gun to ignite the ignition powder, and the flux will make a safe exothermic reaction in the mold. |
6. After the hot melt reaction is completed, within 10-20 seconds, the mold can be opened, the conductor can be taken out with a tool, and the slag can be removed. |
